France tv distribution is proud of its prestigious line-up: "Farewell to night" (working title) by André Téchiné is added to its cinema line-up and the film by Asghar Farhadi, "Everybody knows", just opened Cannes Film Festival.
France tv distribution is pleased to add to its line-up Farewell to night (working title), directed by André Téchiné, and to be working with Curiosa Films on the international distribution of the motion picture.
It relates the story of Muriel, who breeds horses and manages an almond orchard with her associate. There is a solar eclipse on Friday March 20th, 2015 and she is expecting a visit from her grandson, Alex. He is coming to say goodbye before flying to Canada, where he has found a job. Alex is in love with Lila, his childhood sweetheart, and the two have great plans for the future. Yet Muriel soon realises that something is very wrong. Alex's destination is not Canada...
The film stars Catherine Deneuve, in the role of Muriel, Kacey Mottet Klein, as her grandson, Alex, and Oulaya Amamra as Lila. This is André Téchiné's 26th feature film and his 8th collaboration with Catherine Deneuve. The shooting has just started and the theater release is scheduled for 2019.
France tv distribution also handles the international distribution of the films The Red Collar by Jean Becker and Kings for a day by Xabi Molia, which have been respectively sold in China, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Middle East and Belgium for the former, and in Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, Middle East and China for the latter. France tv distribution goes hand in hand with Farewell to night (working title) just as with these two films in their edition and video distribution. The DVD of The Red Collar will be launched on August 29th and the DVD of Kings for a day on September 12th.
The international films are not left out. Everybody knows, the first Spanish language motion picture by Asghar Farhadi - an under pressure thriller that features Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem - opened the 71st Cannes Film Festival on May 8th and is in the official competition. France tv distribution produces and distributes it on VOD, Blu-Ray and DVD. This one will be launched next autumn.
Meanwhile, we'll see you on May 19th in Cannes for the closing ceremony!
