APOCALYPSE, NEVER ENDING WAR

Apocalypse, Never-Ending War (2x45’), produced by CC&C, tells the story of the years of precariousness and conflict that follow WWI, the collapse of empires, and the fateful rise of totalitarianism. Years that foretell the coming of another disastrous world war. At the end of this ‘total war’ those who’ve survived come to realize the world of the past century has now disappeared into an abyss of suffering.

THE MYSTERIES OF THE GIANTS

The documentary series, produced by French Connection Films (6x52'), looks back on the evolutionary history of eight giant prehistoric animals and their modern descendants. After the extinction of the dinosaurs, the Earth was populated by different, astonishingly gigantic animals: a 13-metre snake weighing as much as a truck, a shark as big as a school bus, a 20-ton rhinoceros and a sloth 200 times the size of sloths today. Although they dominate their ecosystems, giant animals are often more vulnerable than others. They are susceptible to climate change, loss of habitat, shortages of food and competitors invading their territory. In fact, today’s last giants – the descendants of those behemoths – are all in decline. Some of them are even threatened with imminent extinction.

BEYOND THE CLOUDS

9,000 people killed and 23,000 injured... Beyond the clouds (2x45’), produced by Galatee Films, shows the human toll from the double earthquake that shook Nepal in spring 2015. Rescue workers flock to Katmandu, but cannot reach populations in the mountains above. One of these areas at the foot of Manaslu is entirely cut off. We follow two young boys who are now mule drivers on the track that leads to the high valley of Nubri. They demonstrate how people cooperate in original ways to survive. Showing great resourcefulness and communal spirit, careless of their differences, women and men work together to deal with adversity in one of the world’s highest valleys.

THE SECRET LIFE OF THE GARDEN

The documentary The Secret life of the garden (52'), produced by MFP, involves the garden, home to thousands of creatures, with hundreds of tiny dramas playing out as part of a wider story – that of an ecosystem guided by the imagination of a creator, the gardener. Day and night, winter and summer, insects,birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians seek refuge in the garden, feeding, hunting, and reproducing. Out of sight, they co-exist, sometimes clashing, sometimes helping one another. This film provides a unique insight into the stunning, wild biodiversity that many gardeners are unaware of, yet which exists just outside their door. 

APOCALYPSE, WAR OF THE WORLDS

Over the course of six films (6x52'), produced by  CC&C, this documentary tells the story of the fantastic period of history between 1945 and 1991, which was defined by the confrontation of two worlds and two systems. The capitalist West, dominated by the ever-powerful United States, is pitted againt the Communist East, the Soviet Empire. Both sides possess the ultimate weapon, the Nuclear Bomb, which neither can use, at the risk of causing their own peril. This terrifying balance of fear paradoxically ensures a half-century of peace and prosperity in the West. There are many heated moments during this "Cold War", and Asia is the chosen place for these "localized" wars in which the Superpowers confront each other through other populations engaged in merciless battles.

MOTHER IS WRONG

France tv distribution is managing international distribution of the fiction series Mother is wrong (6x52’) produced by MFP and based on the eponymous book by Michel Bussi published in 2015 by Presses de la cité. Should Police Captain Marianne Aubrais believe a child who claims that is mother is not really his mother? If his story is not simply a fantasy, it would be genuinely criminal to ignore it. The boy may never become the man he should be and might have to accept the unthinkable: being raised by a woman who has taken his real mother's place. 

WAR ON BEASTS

Produced by Europacorp Télévision, the drama (6x52’) takes place in a small valley in the Vosges Mountains. Martel is a dangerous man. Even if he works his eight hour job at the factory without batting an eye, takes care of his mother, helps his friends and takes it on the chin, he's a dangerous man. So when he loses his job and ends up alone with his debts, anything's possible. War on beasts is the story of this man who refuses to go donwhill and a work inspector specialised in lost causes. It's also the story of Bruce, a bodybuilder who takes himself for Tony Montana, Tokarev, a procurer receiving chemotherapy, and Jordan, a biker teenager who would do anything for the beautiful Lydie. Finally, it's the story of a handful of labourers who refuse to die and who want to save their factory. War on beasts is the tale of a world that ends in peripheral France, when the social violence becomes simply violence. 

CALL MY AGENT - SEASON 3

The famous series returns with Season 3 (6x52'), produced by Mon Voisin Productions / Mother Production, currently in the making! In S2, the brutal and intrusive new boss Hicham burst into ASK. This new season sees the agents fighting back! Andréa and Gabriel plot a possible secret departure while Matthias hones his weapons to manage ASK. The agents continue to hectically juggle their private and professional lives, putting friendship and solidarity to a test. On the verge of exploding, they realize how much they need each other.
Among new guest stars are Jean Dujardin, Monica Bellucci, Isabelle Huppert, Gérard Lanvin, etc.
