France tv distribution is happy to announce its acquisition of two "light crime" series: Judge Marianne, one of a kind!, starring Marilou Berry and produced by Ryoan and Chabraque Productions, and Seasons 1 & 2 of Chantal, a Belgian series produced by Eyeworks.

Distributed internationally by France tv distribution, these new programs will be launched during the 28th Unifrance Rendez-vous in Biarritz, which will take place from September 4 through 8, 2022.

Judge Marianne, one of a kind!

Investigating judge Marianne Vauban is wellknown for being deliciously outspoken and prone to unorthodox methods. Working alongside Captain Pastor and her loyal court clerk Yves, Marianne must put her experience, wisdom and empathy to good use as she investigates complex cases in some pretty outlandish contexts.
But one specific case is particularly close to her heart: the murder of a prostitute, ten years prior, which has since been closed. She promised the victim’s son Zacharie to crack this murder case, and she’s determined to re-open the investigation and reveal the killer’s identity.

This was a man’s world… And then came
Chantal.
Inspector Chantal Vantomme starts a new life in a small, rural town with her daughter Emma. In this Belgian “Far West” where people are used to taking matters into their own hands, the apparent peacefulness should not deceive anyone.
Add to that, Chantal has to contend with macho behavior from colleagues and neighbors… Hopefully, this is all temporary: Chantal plans on taking the exam to become Chief Commissioner and move to a bigger town. But as is often the case with pre-set plans, reality turns out differently.
