L'Alliance européenne poursuit son développement

En 2018, les groupes France Télévisions, RAI et ZDF ont décidé d’unir leurs forces pour développer et coproduire des séries télévisées européennes de qualité, en créant l’Alliance européenne.

Depuis, ce regroupement 100 % européen a produit 9 séries premium dans des genres variés – aventure, thriller, science-fiction ou historique – qui font partie des fictions les plus audacieuses de ces derniers mois.

1) The Kollective, une nouvelle série événementielle en développement 

L’Alliance européenne est très heureuse d’annoncer ce nouveau projet à fort impact et pertinent dans le monde d’aujourd’hui pour les publics européens.

Ce thriller de politique internationale traite de sujets d’importance majeure (les fake news, les attaques contre les démocraties européennes, l’investigation et la liberté d’expression), le tout avec un suspense haletant et une histoire d'amour déchirante.

Synopsis : Après la mort de l’un des leurs qui enquêtait sur un mystérieux accident d'avion au Congo, un groupe de jeunes journalistes amateurs et passionnés, dénommé « The Kollective », se retrouve plongé dans une succession de fausses informations, de corruption, d'espionnage et d’assassinats. Les émotions sont vives, alors que le collectif met au jour une nouvelle guerre froide. « The Kollective » interroge le public sur le prix à payer au nom de la vérité.

2) Lancement d'un appel à projets

Afin de développer de nouvelles fictions adaptées aux coproductions internationales, l'Alliance européenne profite du MIA — Marché international de l'audiovisuel — à Rome pour lancer un nouvel appel à projets haut de gamme. L'occasion pour France Télévisions, la Rai et la ZDF de s’adresser aux producteurs et aux auteurs qui feront la différence dans leurs pays respectifs.

L’Alliance recherche des coproductions européennes organiquement internationales qui inspirent le désir, provoquent l'émotion et suscitent la réflexion. Des fictions contemporaines optimistes dont le cadre sera de préférence l'Europe, et principalement la France, l'Allemagne ou l'Italie. Des séries qui ciblent un public jeune ou familial. Une attention particulière sera portée à certains genres attractifs comme l'aventure, l'action, la famille ou la romance.

• _{Germinal, qui a remporté le Prix du public à Séries Mania, a réuni plus de 4 millions de téléspectateurs sur France 2 lors de sa diffusion en 2021.}
• _{Le tour du monde en 80 jours, lancé à Cannes Series en octobre 2021, a réalisé une belle audience avec 3,5 millions de téléspectateurs sur France 2 (8,9 millions de vues sur ZDF Mediaplayer en Allemagne).}
• _{Leonardo a réuni 2 millions de téléspectateurs lors de son lancement sur France 2  (6 millions de téléspectateurs sur la Rai en Italie, soit 24 % de PdA).}
• _{Les rescapés de l'Arianna, lancé le 3 octobre en Italie, a rassemblé plus de 3,6 millions de téléspectateurs sur la Rai (19,6 % de PdA).}
• _{La jeune fille et la nuit arrive sur France 2 pour sa première mondiale.}
• _{The Gymnasts sera lancé en Italie le 26 octobre sur Paramount+, puis sur Rai 2 en 2023.}

The European Alliance / France Télévisions – RAI – ZDF

In 2018 France Télévisions, RAI and ZDF decided to join their force to develop and co-produce high-end European TV dramas. This was the beginning of the European Alliance. Speaking one voice, the European Alliance has now produced nine premium TV series covering a wide range of genres: adventure, thriller, sci fi, history. The European Alliance provided some of the most outstanding shows in the recent months to our respective audiences.

1) A NEW EVENT TV SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT: THE KOLLECTIVE (6 x 52’)

We are very proud and excited to announce a new series in development at European Alliance: we believe it to be a strong and impactful project that is more than ever relevant and that will resonate for our audiences in Europe.

This international political drama created by Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli (Gomorrah - The Series, ZeroZeroZero, Don’t Leave Me, Django, Maltese - Il romanzo del commissario), executive produced by Femke Wolting (Submarine), Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli will tackle subjects of importance (fake news, attacks on EU democracy, bottom-up investigations, freedom of press) wrapped up in a highly-charged global thriller and a heart-breaking love story. 

Logline: After one of their members is killed while investigating a mysterious plane crash in the Congo, a group of passionate young amateur journalists called THE KOLLECTIVE find themselves drawn into a globe-spanning web of fake news, corruption, espionage and murder. Emotions run high as the group battles to uncover the mystery of a shadowy new cold war, as well as their own complex feelings and desires. Slowly realising that all roads lead back to Putin’s resurgent Russia, they must call upon their innovative technological skills, fierce bravery and youthful self-belief to stop a dark conspiracy that threatens to destroy democracy itself. THE KOLLECTIVE asks what price we are willing to pay to keep the truth alive.

2) THE EUROPEAN ALLIANCE: AUTUMN CALL FOR PROJECTS

More than ever, the European Alliance wishes to develop new scripted series suitable for international co-productions.

We take the opportunity of MIA | MERCATO INTERNAZIONALE AUDIVIOSIVO to address the producers’ community and call for high-end series that will make the difference in the crowded scripted environment.

We are looking for organically international European drama co-productions that inspire desire, provoke emotion and arouse reflection. Series with a positive tone, generous in its approach, with a contemporary appeal. Series whose setting will preferably be Europe, mainly France, Germany or Italy. Series that target families, or adults, or young adults, with a focus on some appealing genres such as adventure, action, family, romance.
