Several international sales for movie Mr. Blake at your service!

France tv distribution is proud to announce that Mr. Blake at your service! (original title: Complètement Cramé !), Gilles Legardinier’s first feature, starring John Malkovich, Fanny Ardant, Émilie Dequenne and Philippe Bas, and produced by Bidibul Productions and Superprod, has been acquired by MFA+ Film Distribution in Germany and Austria, Adler Entertainment in Italy, Nos Lusomundo in Portugal, A Contracorriente Films in Spain, Praesens Film in Switzerland, Cinelibri in Bulgaria, Best Film in Poland, MCF Megacom Film in former Yugoslavia, and Rialto Distribution in Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Blake at your service! was adapted from Gilles Legardinier’s novel Complètement Cramé, published by Fleuves Editions. The book was an international hit soon after its release in 2012, with over one million copies sold in France and translations effected in 17 languages across 22 countries. Besides being one of France’s most read authors, Gilles Legardinier is also a screenwriter, producer and director. Mr. Blake at your service! is his first feature, starring John Malkovich in the role of Andrew Blake.

Synopsis

When Mr. Blake turns up at the Domaine de Beauvillier estate, everyone – the manor itself, along with its owner and staff – are all just as badly off as he is! But unlike Mr. Blake, who has come to this familiar abode merely to collect his thoughts, the other protagonists are in the throes of tackling their respective personal problems. The arrival of this very British guest acts as a trigger, spurring them back to life, “taming” them and prompting them to start working together to restore the manor’s former beauty and revive their individual quests. The result will be a new lease of life for the Beauvillier estate and each and every one of them living on it.

The film will be distributed in France by Universal Pictures International France, with a theatrical release in 2023.
