France tv distribution is proud to announce its acquisition of All to play for (Original title: Rien à perdre). The film is in Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival in the section Un Certain Regard.

Directed by Delphine Deloget and produced by Curiosa Films, Unité and France 3 cinéma, this first feature film stars Virginie Efira. The leading actress has just been awarded the César for Best Actress in Alice Winocour's Paris Memories (Revoir Paris), the Prix Lumières 2023 for Best Actress in Rebecca Zlotowski’s Other People’s Children (Les Enfants des autres) as well as Unifrance’s French Cinema Award, an honorary prize that celebrates personalities working in the international movie industry who have done outstanding work to promote French cinema worldwide. She also took home the Magritte award for Best Actress, in 2017, for the movie Victoria.

Synopsis

Single-mother Sylvie works at night to support her two children, Sofiane and Jean-Jacques. They’re a tight, happy family.

But one night, Sofiane has an accident at home. Accused of negligence by child services, Sylvie has her son taken away from her. One thing leads to another, and next thing she knows, she goes from being considered an innocent mother to a potential criminal.

But Sylvie is determined to do whatever it takes to retrieve her son and put her family back together again.
