Each Season was launched in DVD format with 5 box sets (the 6th including the entire Seasons 1 to 8 will be released next October). The enthusiasm for the adventures of the Lepic and Bouley families hasn’t dwindled with sales at over 300,000 DVD versions and VOD. Netflix renewed its broadcasting contract for Seasons 1 to 7 and recently purchased Season 8.
francetv distribution also manages international and video sales for two other iconic France 2 fiction programs: Parents mode d’emploi (‘Guidebook for parents’) and Duel au soleil (‘Duel under the sun’). Up to date the duel starring Gérard Darmon has been sold to the US, Scandinavia, French-speaking Switzerland and the Gabonese Republic.
The format of the iconic daily program Parents mode d’emploi was already purchased by the Gabonese Republic. francetv distribution is thus developing a specific offering for the African continent with Elephant Story. Furthermore, the first 3 Seasons were just sold to TV5 Monde and French-speaking Canada and will be broadcast by the end of the year.
The latest fiction program that francetv distribution is proud to manage for international distribution is Innocent. A Gazelle & Cie production, this thriller series (6x52’) starring Julie de Bona, Sagamore Stévenin, Olivia Bonamy and Thomas Jouannet is coming soon on France 3.
Finally, francetv distribution also handles international distribution for Elephant Doc’s documentary programs such as - among others - Elisabeth II, a queen’s revolution. The program, produced for the British monarch’s 90th birthday, has already been purchased by 26 territories.
