StoryLab receives the Venice Immersive Achievement Prize for second year in a row
The Venice Immersive competition, held during the 81st Venice International Film Festival, from the 28th August to 7th September 2024, awarded Impulse : playing with reality the Venice Immersive Achievement Prize.
The StoryLab is proud to receive this prize for a second year in a row and wishes to reaffirm its dedication to producing content using XR technologies as a way to create new forms of storytelling.
What makes ideas real?
Exploring the extreme side of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Impulse brings together sharp-witted gameplay and dramatic first-hand accounts of people whose intense emotions lead them to a life at the edge. Leanne turns her world into a game to escape boredom. Omar’s chaotic mind focuses on mastermining risky heists. Errol creates a madcap persona to get respect. And Tara is on the brink - of giving up.
• Directors May Abdalla and Barry Gene Murphy • Created and produced by Anagram • Co-produced by Floréal and France Télévisions • With the support of Meta VR for Good, CNC, Agog, City of Paris, and Unity Charitable Fund
