France tv distribution is delighted to announce the launching of the international distribution of PIECES OF A FOREIGN LIFE (original title: L'étangère), a film by Gaya Jiji starring Zar Amir Ebrahimi and Alexis Manenti.

Distributed worldwide by France tv distribution, PIECES OF A FOREIGN LIFE will be launched at the American Film Market (AFM) which will take place from November 5 to 10, 2024 in Las Vegas.

PIECES OF A FOREIGN LIFE is produced by Gloria Films and TS Productions and will be distributed in France by Tandem Films.

Synopsis

From Syria to France, Selma's fight for freedom leads her to love and a chance to rewrite her destiny.

Selma flees war-torn Syria, leaving behind her 8-year-old son, Rami, and her husband, Iyad, who vanished in the regime's prisons. After a dangerous journey, she arrives in Bordeaux and takes on a series of undeclared jobs to survive.

But her real fight begins as she battles for asylum and the chance to reunite with her son. Amidst the struggle, she meets Jérôme, a lawyer  whom she convinces to help her. Soon they begin a relationship that will change everything. As Selma slowly rebuilds her life and rediscovers herself, her love for Jérôme also raises difficult questions about her past, especially when Iyad unexpectedly returns...
